In the second example I can type randomprojects to initiate a ssh session to hit a server also specifying the rsa key that I want to authenticate with. A couple examples I have (editing some information out) are:Īlias scon2="screen /dev/tty.KeySerial1 9600"Īlias randomprojects="ssh -v -i ~/.ssh/thisismy_rsa can simply type scon2 into terminal when I have USB to Serial adapter connected to a switch to automatically create a screen serial session with a 9600 baud rate. profile and create aliases based off of shortcuts or keywords that are familiar to yourself. If you don't know or have't used vi yet, type vimtutor in terminal and go through that to familiarize yourself with the program. profile in there if it exists, you can cat it and utilize vi to edit it. profile or create one if it does not yet exist. I strictly personally only use/utilize terminal, unless for some reason I can't, which is only 1% of the time generally.
